After our break, we drive from Chimborazo Basecamp to the Chimborazo National Park refuge, where cars park. From there, our trek to the high camp begins. Ascending through the rugged terrain, we gradually gain altitude, making our way to the high camp situated at 5,300 meters (17,388 feet) above sea level.
As we hike, the majestic beauty of the Andean landscape unfolds around us, with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and rolling valleys. Arriving at the high camp, we unload all gear and equipment, preparing for the challenging climb ahead.
