Climb Chimborazo: Mount Chimborazo is a dormant volcano situated in the central Andes of Ecuador, in the Chimborazo Province. It’s just an hour’s drive from Riobamba, Ecuador’s trekking and climbing capital. As the tallest peak in Ecuador, standing at 6,268 meters (20,564 feet) above sea level, climbing Chimborazo is an exciting but challenging adventure.
Due to its high altitude and physical demands, climbers need to be well-prepared and acclimatized. Acclimatization is highly recommended to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. The climb involves navigating glaciers, crevasses, and steep ice walls, requiring a high level of physical fitness, technical climbing skills, and experience with high-altitude mountaineering.
Typically, the ascent takes two to three days to complete. However, despite its difficulty, reaching the summit offers stunning views of the surrounding Andean landscape and provides climbers with an unparalleled sense of achievement. Climbing Chimborazo is an unforgettable adventure for those who seek the challenge of high-altitude mountaineering.

Climbing Chimborazo is a demanding endeavor, and all climbers should consider having a certified guide to help navigate and understand the mountain.
